September 7, 2003: SHUTTERBUG FOLLIES WORTH MORE THAN TEN TIMES ITS WEIGHT IN BRICKS

Last Sunday, September 7th, I was presented the Ignatz Award for Outstanding Artist at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland. This is the second Ignatz that I have milked out of Shutterbug Follies, having won in the Best Online Comic category the previous year.

September 5, 2003: THE SMALL PRESS EXPO

Come and meet me at SPX (The Small Press Expo), Friday through Sunday, September 5 - 7, 2003, at the Holiday Inn Select, 8120 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland. I'll be participating in a comics slide reading with the Carousel group (featuring Lauren R. Weinstein and R. Sikoryak) on Friday night from 7 to 8 p.m. On Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Lauren and I will be part of a panel discussion on self-publishing with the Xeric Grant. I will try to say something useful.

June 22, 2003: MoCCA Comic Book Arts Festival, New York City

The Museum of Cartoon and Comic Book Arts (MoCCA), is staging its second annual Comic Book Arts Festival. Last year's event was an amazing spectacle, and this year's promises to be even more exciting. I will be signing books at the Doubleday table all day long. Bring in your old copies, ask me for a sketch. The Festival will be held in the New York landmark Puck Building (former home to the magazine of the same name, as well as the E.C. offices for a time), 293 Lafayette Street at Houston Street, on Sunday, June 22 (a mere six days from now), from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

March 1, 2003: Book signing with Phoebe Gloeckner at Jim Hanley's Universe, NYC.

I will be signing copies of Shutterbug Follies alongside Phoebe Gloeckner (Diary of a Teenage Girl) at Jim Hanley's Universe on Saturday, March 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. Jim Hanley's Universe is located at 4 West 33rd Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues (across 33rd Street from the Empire State Building). March 2, 2003: Slide reading with Howard Cruse and Kim Deitch at KGB Bar, NYC.

I will be performing a reading with colorful slides in the warm, red, confines of KGB bar along with Howard Cruse (Stuck Rubber Baby) and Kim Deitch (The Boulevard of Broken Dreams) on Sunday, March 2nd, at 7 p.m. KGB Bar is located at 85 East 4th Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. February 8, 2003: Book Signing at The Million Year Picnic, Cambridge, Massachusetts
